Principal Attorney Diana Brooks’ litigation practice focuses on commercial disputes and defending businesses and individuals against personal injury and other tort claims, as well as representing families in contested guardianship and related matters. Diana is “Big Law” trained and has practiced at renowned litigation firms in Dallas and New Orleans. She relentlessly pursues the best outcomes for her clients, whether that be in the courtroom, on appeal, or even before a dispute escalates into litigation.
Diana has routinely prevailed against larger law firms. She believes that successful legal strategies are built on careful preparation and a deep understanding of the facts. She takes a keen interest in learning her client’s industry, asking the right questions to provide critical context for the specific circumstances and laws at issue. As a former teacher, Diana listens carefully to her client’s questions, and works to make what can be an intimidating process more understandable so that her clients can make informed decisions regarding the litigation. Diana also provides contract review services from a litigator’s perspective, to assist her clients in negotiating contract terms to best protect their interests should a dispute arise after the ink is dry.
Diana laced up a pair of figure skates after college and was immediately hooked on the feel of blades on the ice. What started as an Adult Learn-to-Skate class led to a life-long passion, thousands of rhinestones, and a wall full of medals—a few of which are even from the U.S. Figure Skating Adult Championships. Diana is also a proud supporter of the Arts, and performs with the Allen Community Band and Jazz Band on trumpet. Diana has an incredibly supportive husband, three adult bonus kids, one grandbaby, and two very spoiled Cavalier King Charles spaniels.
